In 1766 fifty Bristol-based individuals received a solid silver token for their outstanding contribution to the building of the Theatre Royal. Without their contribution the theatre would never have been built. Now, 240 years on, you have the chance to repeat history. In order to secure its future, Bristol Old Vic has decided to re-visit its past and issue a further fifty solid silver tokens, handmade by the Queen's personal jeweller, to be awarded to those making a major donation of £50,000 or more towards the Refurbishment Appeal. (Silver Token History)
We have replicated another 50 tokens for the first 50 people who pledge their support of £50,000 or more to once again save this historic theatre. These have been hallmarked and hand crafted by the Queen's personal jeweler. The coin is presented on plush silk and velvet within a handmade leather box that replicates the classic red and green of the Georgian auditorium.
In return for your support and commitment we would be pleased to give you:
By joining the silver token partnership your money will help the theatre to refurbish and continue its reputation for world class theatre. Donors are encouraged to give as generously as they can, with contributions starting at a minimum of £50,000.
